Renewing the WSU Strategic Plan
President Floyd and former Provost Bates initiated a review and renewal of the WSU Strategic Plan. This process involved looking at the university's vision, mission, values, and goals and resulted in a refreshed plan that will guide the institution into the future.
The previous Strategic Plan was adopted in 2002 after a thorough and inclusive process that involved constituents from across the university. That process began with the appointment of the Strategic Planning Oversight Committee (SPOC) and included the work of nine design teams who evaluated key elements of the university.
The recent review and renewal process was guided by a Strategic Planning Committee formed in 2007. This committee has been added to the roster of permanent presidential committees. Its membership is drawn from across the university.
