Doctoral student wins national fellowship

Washington State University’s College of Education student Ola Kehinde was awarded the Chan Zuckerberg Initiative Fellowship for Minoritized Professionals in Educational Measurement. This fellowship helps increase the representation of minority populations awarded doctoral degrees within the educational field.

Being a fellow has presented Kehinde with many more opportunities for growth outside the WSU walls. We are incredibly proud to have Kehinde as a student and also towards the faculty that helped him reach this level of success so early in his budding career. He expressed his gratitude to Shenghai Dai and Brian French for assisting him along his journey.

We are excited and inspired by stories such as Kehinde’s and many others who find success along their journey at WSU. His research- along with the many other forms of research, scholarship, and creative activities in the WSU community- creates a positive impact the local, national, and global communities.
