WSU will continue to work towards a culture of engagement and collaboration across its multi-campus system. Our objective in the Strategic Plan Office is to align our financial resources directly to our core goals and to engage in research efforts to maintain and strengthen their quality, among many other objectives. One of our primary four goals is to create a better WSU when it comes to our institutional effectiveness throughout our multiple locations throughout the state.

In order to continue in the direction, we are heading in WSU plans to produce an annual operating budget that promotes transparency around the current allocation of resources and informs the planning of future incentive-based budget models. As well as potentially forming a team representative of the system and all its components to identify hindering and helping forces to promote system-wide best practices, opportunities for local decision-making, and collaboration based on a set of shared values and principles. The university will be continuing to advance and enhance programs focused on hiring a diverse faculty that will bring real-world experience and elevate the school’s curriculum.
